Big Cypress Golf & Country Club Estates and Country Club of Naples Stormwater Improvements Project
Stormwater Project Overview
The Collier County Stormwater Management Section and its engineering contractor, Hole Montes, Inc., is in the process of designing a stormwater improvement project in the community of Big Cypress Golf & Country Club Estates.
Phase 1 of the project will entail installing two electric-powered stormwater pumping stations. The improvements are intended to relieve the drainage, flooding and standing water issues experienced by the community, to be maintained by the county.
Phase 2 of this project is in design and will consist of drainage improvements within the neighborhood of Big Cypress Golf & Country Club Estates.
Phase 2 will include reshaping and enlarging the roadway swales to add storage for flood protection, improving driveway culvert crossings so they flow as needed and at the correct grade to match the swale grading, and adding a public sidewalk within the county’s right-of-way on one side of the neighborhood roadways.
In addition, the City of Naples will consider replacing the potable water system within the neighborhood, simultaneous with the stormwater improvements.
